I have had the good fortune of going along on two Batcave III raids over the last week. Before my brain completely turns to mush and I lose all data I thought I would post my views and ideas here.
1. This is easier than batcave inner. The trash is less of a pain, the two bosses are less random.
2. The trash is easy except in two circumstances. There are two rooms filled with force fielded monster generators. When you attack a monster generator it spawns guardians. You MUST go through these two rooms in a methodical manner rather than trying to pop all the generators. Doing the latter will wipe you under a wave of big trash.
3. Boss 1: Omac Batman. Basic tank and spank. Every once in a while Batman will "fade into the shadows" and be replaced by three or four duplicates with a lot less health. Kill them fast then go back to him. Tank all of them.
4. Boss 2: Avatar of Tech. This one is more complicated. It is a three phase fight. The general rule here is stay alive, don't try to squeeze out one more shot. Bad things in this fight are powers with cast times or channel times. you need to be ready to move on a second's notice. People WILL die on this fight. be ready to go resuscitate them immediately.
Phase 1: Avatar of Tech is locked in the middle of the room but can rotate. The tank melees him from the front, everyone else stays behind him. He will occasionally spin about 75 degrees clockwise while spraying fire in front of him. Keep moving and stay behind him. He will occasionally spin about 250 degrees clockwise while firing a giant machine gun. Keep moving and STAY BEHIND HIM. He will occasionally drop a big red circle on the ground. Roll out of the circle before the missiles land and STAY BEHIND HIM. At about 75% health phase two starts.
Phase 2: No shit, he poops a giant robot scorpion out of his butt. The scorpion can be tanked but occasionally goes off to do its thing. Its thing can be any combination of the following...
Starts vibrating for a few seconds as a tell then charges in the direction it is facing. Get out of its path.
Sends out a gravity bomb that looks like a translucent hemisphere. It will either pull you in or push you away, damaging you the whole time. Break out and get away from it.
Puts a big red circle on the ground. Roll away.
puts a small red circle directly underneath someone. Do NOT roll away. Block. The circle will move with you. If you don't block you take around 2500-2800 damage.
Inflicts a tornado on someone. This gives them superspeed and if I remember correctly does not hurt them. However anyone they get near will be sucked into the tornado and be completely out of control. Stay away from other people if possible when this happens.
Phase 2 ends when the giant scorpion dies. Cue Phase 3
Phase 3: This is brainiac himself. He is tanked though he will occasionally go whirling about.
Every once in a while he declares eradicator mode. At this point an eradicator (like the final boss of containment facility) comes out of the ground. Everyone pounds it HARD. Smaller eradicators will start walking towards it. If enough get to him bad things will happen. No idea what the bad things are, we didn't let it happen.
I am sure there is more but it was late at night and I don't remember it. This is certainly enough for us to start, though.
We will need either two controllers or three healers for this instance. There is a lot of damage being thrown about and so either our healers need as much power as possible or there needs to be another one. The raid roster we cleared with was two of everything.
