Recently, SOE has announced that they wont be giving players a free respec token to electricty powers with the DLC. Personally, I think this is because power respec tokens will be purchasable in the marketplace.
But this made me think.....if you COULD switch your power.....would you?
White Wraith: Mental -> Fire: Frankly, I need a tank and Wraith has an astounding 67 skill points. Considering he has nothing from the DLC or HAs or Raids, or even the speed feats on normal alerts and duos....I think it's worth swapping him over. Thankfully I have such a generic name on this one that it still works. I can even make a case for taking a character who started off a Telekinetic and making him a full blown Pyrokinetic (or cryokinetic for ice!)
Overclocked: Gadgets -> Mental: I miss Mental powers frankly, and moving from one Controller to a different controller is mostly just a change in flavor for the player to avoid boredom. As long as I stay superspeed and use armor with lots of "tech" feel. I should be fine.....oooo...I could use the Gadgeteer helmet....fun.
Totemic: Nature -> .....nah.....: I do love nature, but I could just as easily switch it up for Sorcery or even Electricty powerset if I got bored. Again, YAY for relatively generic character names. Totemic was always more of a "Magically oriented character" than an exobyte infused character in my mind.

I like the idea of being able to swap powers, as long as the cost isn't too expensive. Now that there are more inventory and bank slots (and additional available for purchase) it's very possible to have a toon with all 4 sets of gear and just swap roles when you want to change things up.
Personally, I like Mental and Ice so they would be my "default" powersets but I'd LOVE to try out some of the other sets with a fully speced out toon. Stark is easily swapped to any role because he has DpS gear. Kal would need to swap to gadgets or hardlight because he mostly has controller gear.

Soar: Fire -> Fire Rescue: Gadgets -> Gadgets
I is happy camper. Depending on the cost of the respec tokens I MIGHT respec them to other tank/troller powersets to try them then swap back. Not sure.

This is my guess of course, but I'm figuring at least 1500 to 2000 sc per token.
I figure if you price it too low then people will be buying them to either A) game the system or B) chase the flavor of the month Neither of those things are good for the game itself.
Personally, I'd be perfectly fine with a 2000sc token to do it. Low enough to use it if it really matters to you, high enough to make you think twice on whether you really want to spend that money.

The standard Station Cash to USD conversion is 100 SC per $1.00, is that right? So you're talking $15.00-$20.00? That's not too bad. However, I'd think $10.00 (same price as the DLC's) would be fair.

I was thinking of switching to lightning so we have a nature and a lightning main healers instead of 2 nature. of course I would have to try it out first..

Hyou -> wouldn't even consider it. invested too heavily in tank gear and it would take a long time to recover, plus with the skill points she has I can do pretty good dps when i solo stuff, so i'm good with Hyou. Plus I love ice as a power.
Mezzo -> Mental Troller i wish i had more skill points so her dps was better, but i like trolling and i think she is a good one. of course that's why i have lots of alts so i don't need to change power set
Mnemonic -> As with Mezzo i would like to have more skill points for dps, all skill points are in healing skills. I like Sorc healing so I would leave her as is as well.
Ionos -> I love lightning as a power in any game I play. I rolled Ionos as ice so it would make it very easy to change her over to lightning when that becomes available.
I do have a villain troller and a villain lightning, mostly as test beds and for farming stuff if needed. I won't change them.
bottom line save for Ionos i have the power sets I like.
